Monte L. Bean Museum

Because I have the week off, we're trying to have as many opportunities to do things as a family as possible.  Today was the Monte L. Bean Museum. On the BYU campus there is a free life science museum full of taxidermy animals.  They have every animal you can imagine there.  We have taken Kyson twice in his life, but never Kodi. Kodi was hilarious.  She was so excited about everything.  She'd want to make sure I saw everything there.  Kyson wanted to spend the most time with the bugs, which didn't surprise me.  After we did a quick run-through of the museum, we noticed that up front by the gift shop there was a scavenger hunt for preschoolers.  It had pictures of different animals and you were to find those animals throughout the museum. Some were really easy, like a brown bear.  But some were hard, like a little frog in an exhibit.  Kyson knew where nearly everyone of them was immediately.  He must have been very observant on our first walk-through.  I love spending time with my children and seeing how excited they get over little things.  Their innocence and acceptance is a great example to me.

I was glad we were able to make it this year because they are expanding and the doors will be closing on July 1st for 16 months.  I'll have to take the kids in a  year and a half to see what they've done with the place.
